2nd Jan 2007.
The Earthquake outing at Swenson's was a disaster. O.o
T^T I guess, I messed up. Only 6 people was able to make it, out if 6, only 4 actually turned up. iunno whyyyyyyyyy I went through with it, because I had gotten a significant number of favourable responses. Somehow, they ended up busy, or sick. Heck, even I wasn't able to go, due to mum's toothache. I couldn't well leave her at home now, could I?
Anyway, I had initially thought that there was 6 ppl, so for me, it was sufficient to celebrate WX and TY's b'dae which we had not. Unfortunately, only 4 ppl, 2 of which were the b'dae girl themselves. So yea. I had sent out 23 smses, getting only 11 in return.
I'm so sorry for both Kai and Mintos, for causing them the extra trouble.
It was serisouly last minute to include the cake. Now I owe them both favors, which I have no idea wat....yet. O.o haha XD
I think I'm losing my touch at organising. And perhaps, I'm getting rather tired of it.
I would send mass smses to everyone, and while most would answer, it kinda irks me that the rest can't be bothered to. Or sometimes, extra people would pop out, and when queried about their lack of reply, they would say they ran out of credit.
So tell me dear, why am I wasting MY credit informing everyone then they can't even send ONE miserable reply?
I dunno, I really don't. It's at times like this, I feel that I'm being taken advantage off. And believe me, I can and will snap back if things get out of hand.
I think I'm washing my hands at this whole organising thing. I will only do it if I really want to go out or merely invite a few buddies to hang out with.
Because sometimes, enough is enough. For me.
I have newfound respect for my parents for making the effort to be involved in any of the 3 family gatherings(yes, I actually have 3 families...somewhat), turning up for hospital visits, going the extra mile to deliver things, distributing extra goodies. For friends, families and even colleagues.
4th Jan 2007
PY has asked if I wanted to go out with her. As since her new sem is still a long way more before it starts, whle mine iwill right around the corner, I figure we might as well make the best to it soon. She wanted to go to redbox, in which I haven't been like almost 2 years. And that was because I was tagging behind some college mates. XD No I have no clue how or where to start booking. Apparently, so did she, so we both had to do a bit of research (this is where internet comes in =P)
It was suppose to be a movie outing earlier, so I had asked Reiki along, but somewhere that night, PY wanted to sing karaoke. haha XD And so did I, yups. I totally forgot about Reiki's parents, because I assumed she could make it. I'm so so sorry, Reiki. I will be more careful next time, dear. *huggles*
In the end, I had to grab either TY or HP, since they both were free, and the only ones I figure could make it. TY went with me.
Our initial 3 hours went up to 6 and a half hours. O.o PY has gone home after 2pm, so it was only TY and me. hahaha XD I guess we almost had our voices gone hoarse. u.u
Note to self: No membership card needed for booking. Extending is a bad bad idea, it causes twice as much! D: Cheapest rates at from Mon - Thurs, 11am-2pm slot. Plus it includes lunch. So much more worth it.
6th Saturday
First Ko-Ku saturday of the year. We have new St John members to bully and bug~! Ohoho!! XD Hp and I got stuck with teaching the adult members. Apparently, there's this new emphasis on ko-ku, hence there was a lot 6th formers. So yea.
Darn it, the new syllabus is so long. O.O For one, I have to start digging out info from both the book and AFA notes too. nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. YL was a dear, and prepared a set of notes for us beforehand, thank goodness.
Both JY and Ay was around to help us out. My voice was hoarse so it really helped a lot. haha XD I guess, teaching seemed to me kinda like presentations. Which I kinda enjoy. A bit. >w<
Some feedback which I got was that some of our voices was a tad soft. Note to self! And theories are so so boring.....why on earth are we even laarning about aftercare and disposal....? -.-
We were suppose to cover topic 1 and 2. I got dupeeeeeeeeeedddddddddd. The afternoon session had an announcement the day before stating that ko-ku was up to 9.30am, in which all of us had no clue, but apparently the 6th formers were pushing us to stop, stating time contrainst, tuition and stuff. so we did. With only topic 1 covered. *crash*
And here we were thinking of extending the inital time of 2 hours to 3 hours. Teacher is not allowing us to extend and keeps insisting we finish the syllabus for the exam. That it was our priority to prepare them for the exam. hence the lack of games and other more fun stuffs. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Anyway, I think we'll make it voluntary for the extra one hour. She says it's okay if it's voluntary. Playing games and interacting makes it all the more fun. =P I've told the board about it, we'll see if it works out. XD
The whole registration was a tad messy, I could see poor PY and Ay running around O.o And I suppose I kinda made things a bit worse, because I had no clue they had yet to register....-.- oh well....
After which there was a short DEC meeting regarding the revision of the admin handbook. Seriously, that book is super old, like before my time even. We never got around to revising it. hahaha XD So anyway after that, HP and I hanged around.
Oh oh, and played random games. XD With only SA, YL, Ay, H, HP and me. It was nevertheless more fun than the whole day. ahahaha XD Hanging around last does have a few ups.

Mummy's toothache
Obviously those wonderfully delicious hawker food in Penang didn't agree with mum O.o
Her tooth was acting up, so she contributed it to all the heaty food she's been having.
Right. Except it's not right.
We came back before Christmas and she spent the next couple of days nursing a slightly uncomfortable toothachy feeling.
On the 30th Dec, Saturday, it got worse, so she got dad to take her to the clinic. Which the doc then prescribed her some sort of jaw numbing medication...I think.
Come Monday, THE awesome first day of 2007. Which happened to be a public hols due to Hari Raya Korban (I think), the minor uneasiness exploded into a full blown toothache. O.o And it hurts. Real bad. Since dad had some wall to repaint, mum and I went off in search of a dentist.
Which we were painting one side of teh gate the other day, some bangladesh guy came over and asked if we wanted help. Actually, we would be able to do it, walls are kacang to paint. But dad was worried, since the back portion was pretty high up. No point risking your life just for the darn wall. One slip and you're doomed. So yea, the fella said he would get his friend as well.
I think we kinda got duped. kinda. Because the fella said he would include the cost of the brushes along, and come the next day, he asked for money to buy them -.- Cheater. And did a pretty slopping job on the whole paint job too. At any rate, the walls are repainted, somewhat. With a few finishing touches.
As you all probably know, dentists do NOT open on public hols. So try as we might, in SS14, SS15, there was no dentists on work. Our last resort was back to the doctor. Mum explained that the medication given earlier was probably not right. Her tooth is hurting not the jaw. He gave her an type of antibiotic for the tooth nerves or something. And a 2 days MC, enough for us to visit the dentist.
Tuesday, we went to this one dentist which was open. Our usual, company delegated dentist wasn't open yet. Yea. She told mum, nothing could be done unless the pain subsided, so she'd have to finish the antibiotic. O.o Since it hurts now, it's gonna hurt SO much more if she tried to do anything to the tooth right now.
Wednesday, we went back to ask for another few days of MC. The dentist wouldn't do anything and the tooth hurts like mad. Mum couldn't sleep at night anf would even have a slight fever. She enquired that it still hurts, so he mentioned something about sometimes the tooth have dual infection and gave us another medication. To go along with the earlier one. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee Now she complained of some sort of lump near the tooth.
Thursday. Seriously. We went back to the dentist. The same one who told us to come back later. She tried to drain the out pus out of the lump, and was pretty surprise that it hardened. O.o So err....she referred us to UH, a professor in the dental faculty. Since it was close to 4pm, she told us to rush there, the prof said he would wait for us.
What the crap? -.- UH? NOW? They close 4.30, it's almost 4pm already.
Bestest part, I have yet to actually drive there. HAHAHA XD
Dad calls. Said we could ask GuMa to drive us over, if we drop by MaMa's. Right, we're late. Mum says she knows. I said I can only estimate how to get there.
Ohoho~!
Some genius we are.
Surprisingly, we actually reached, albeit I did tertook a wrong turning, but somehow still end up there.
UH. I had no clue where to go. It's huge. Followed signs and cars saje. We found it somehow.
And then, the entrance. The whole building says Dental Faculty, but where the heck is the entrance? -.- We saw this elderly couple and asked for their help. And then, mum in her haste and at the old folks' warning that it'ls gonna close soon if we don't hurry, ran and fell. O.O ACKKKKKKKK
Thank goodness, she was wearing 3 quarter pants, so it really helped. Other than a small tear and some wounds. Maaaaaaaaa, do not panic >.<
Sampai there, the receptionist told us the prof went off to a meeting in UM. *this is where I crash* His secretary gave him a call, after we kept insisting that he told the other dentists he would wait for us.
After a while, another lady dentist came over and said, he told her to have a look at it first. But we needed an X Ray. So we waited for the X Ray. All the time, the place was already clearing up, since it was already 5pm.
Later, the lady dentist kindly explained to us, that she would have to remove the wisdom tooth, since it was causing all the infection. Remove the root of the infection. And a good thing that, the doctor gave us antibiotics, or the numbness would have spread all over the mouth. It happens. O.o
The whole time, 2 nurses was helping her. by the time the tooth was out, (it took 2 shots of painkiller, apparently wisdom tooth is very deep in, and a good thing it wasn't in the bone, or that would take a surgery to remove it)
Dad pops up and phones me to check where we were. Hahaha XD A sigh of relief, I can follow him back. Remember my utter luck at reaching the place? I was wondering how to get out and back home.
Memang ke pohlar, my dad. He turns up and the lady had to explain again. She was very nice and even apologised that the blood dripped on mum's short since they had packed things up and didn't take ou the bib-like thing.
I was like, "dad, stop bugging her, it's way over their working hours already"
And then I asked, how much to pay, and she said nah, it's fine.
EHHHHHH?
And then I realised it was 6pm, even the cashier had closed already, plus, mum took totally ragged with the tear on her pants. hahaha XD
My first time experiencing public healthcare and I'm really impressed. She spoke great english and was very polite. Plus, the others was equally nice as well. Even when we kept them working overtime.
And here I thought public hospitals were horrid, maybe in other sectors, but certainly not that dental faculty.
While we were waiting earlier, a lady who came with her slightly handicapped child told us, 'They're really nice people here and it's very cheap too". Her daughter had the fear of dentists since young and given her mental state, it was cerainly much harder to get over it. But those nurses and dentists were coaxing her and praising her all the time.
I must admit, I had expected a 'Come back another day" speech since we were slightly late. But this has totally changed my opinion. There's still hope in public healthcare after all. *O*
A total of an extra week of MC for mum. And me, I kinda had to stepped in her shoes for a while. Plus waiting on her. With mum at home, I actually had to cook dinner. T^T She insisted eating out everytime was not healthly. I became a chaeuffer too. haha XD
I could almost understand the pain, I had a horrid toothache once too.
Much later, mum found out through her colleagues and relatives who checked in on her that wisdom tooth is a horror. Apparently it has to be remove somehow, as in all wisdom tooths should be removed at a point in life. Worst cases, involving the tiooth embedded into the bones, requires surgery.
GAKKKKk.....I'm dreading to reach middle age.
On a lighter note, I was mentioning to dad about mum's extra 'holiday'
Me: Sooo, mum gets an extra week of hols due to the toothache....What would you prefer, extra hols or toothache? =P
Dad: I rather go to work than to have that toothache.
Me: >__> But you get to stay home wut.
Dad: Look at your mum, the toothache seems awfully painful.
Me: Good point. I had something similar before, remember? And it hurts like crap. You can't eat, can't sleep, can't do pretty much anything with the constant pain. I even cried out of pain. u.u

Emotions
Loneliness.
Something most people dislike from the bottom of their hearts.
Ironically, it's also a very familiar occurance to most people.
Perhaps it depends on how it's deciphered?
Me? Been feeling a tad lonely these days. So much so, I'm even beginning to wish I have a better half to teman me.
Which I haven't been thinking seriously about for quite some time now.
Growing in the realm of fairytales and princesses, I've always believed that I'll find someone in the end. It's every girl's dream, a permanent flicker of hope.
However, Prince Charming is an extinct breed for the matter and there's no point in harping on it.
When it's time it's time. And I will have someone to share my love with. Even perhaps for a lifetime. Alternatively, I may end up single for life. I suppose it's unforseeable.
When your younger bro has a girlfriend and your even younger cousin sister is supposedly coupled up.
Something seems sorely amissed.
It's just this thing I'm feeling at the moment.
I suppose you're wondering why I'm talking about things such as love of a lifetime and partners when I have yet to begin my first relationship.
Honestly, I can't quite answer that myself. XD

Updates
Finally. XD
Haven't gotten into the mood of blogging much, and with the really crappy connection, I kinda gave up on it. Ohoho~
A very, very belated Happy New 2007, folks!~
I'll summarise a couple of things which had happened, not much since my life's a bore but those were memorable moments which I hope to capture. <3
After my course ended, I was left bored and missed meeting up, so we had this dinner gathering at Leo's, which had a turn out of almost 16-20 of us. My mind's a bank right now so I can't recall the exact number. It seems that everytime I get lazy and decide not to keep track of the ppl I've invited, which as always is the whole group, I would get an overwhemlming number of them turning up O.o The last time this happened was Ching/Shen/KLeong's birthday.
It was wonderful being able to catch up with everyone, and Sam intro-ed Lance to us. Waaaaaaaa! Ching was dued to return the next day to Penang, and promised her mum to return by 9pm in exchange for going out, as always with the rain and everyone being late, we only got to order our food close to 9pm, so she was an hour late. eeps?
Reiki's mum wanted some KFC, so we dropped back to her house once she got them, and Ching safely back home. Csn't recall much, but but when I return, my gelato turned out to be peppermint/mint/whatever....I never liked mint, so I passed it to Shen.
And managed to bug Reiki into ordering another gelato. Sharing made it easier on my allowance. And it was yummy~! And since my seat was occupied and both Reiki and I got shoved aside after we returned, I shifted over to the other end to chat with Teen and Nadiah. XD I really miss everyone. So so much.
I know we're always saying that we can still meet up after we move on in our lives, but how often would that be when half of them would be at the other end of the world or somewhere equally far?
Yea. And the weirdest part.....NONE of them bought a camera to commemorate the moment. I've always assumed someone would, but no one did. LoL. Ironic, ain't it?
the nest 2 days, I was occupied with fangirling with Ann in ComicFiesta2006. Totally awesome. My first ever time and I enjoyed every bit of it. <3 Thanks, dear for temaning me and err.....photographing those cosplayers I wanted. =P
I saw Diana, she mentioned that she would be there. And bought myself a couple of nifty bookmarks of characters which I adore. And 2 posters. Yea. Some of the art are unbelievably similar to the original ones, honest. Or even cuter.
Ann and I proclaimed that the Host Club group on Day ONE was the sweetest. Why so? The first Honey sempai we saw (one of the first cosplayers we ever saw btw) offered us a little paperfolded star each after we took a photograph. =3
Her: What colour do you like? Yellow? Green or (can't remember) ?
Me: Huh? I suppose yellow, since there's no blue.
Her: *hands out a star*
Me: wow! thanks. Btw where did you get the plushie *motions to Usa-chan*
Her: My friend made it for me.
Me: --i want a friend who would make that for me too....XD--
Somewhere in the middle, we saw another cosplayer, this time a Tamaki. After the customary posing, she offered us a rose which she was using as a prop.
Her: Here, have a rose.
Me: Ehh? no, it's fine.
-was mentally thinking that they would run out of roses to give-
And later we found that they had gotten like a pailful of roses to give out. haha XD Uber sweetness! Just as they were suppose to be.
I saw like a group of girls in Vampire Knights customes. Both the Night and Day class. *O* Mintos and I approached one of them to check, yups we were right. Apparently they had theirs tailored together. Wahhhh!
Many many more which I couldn't remember, or simply have no clue. Ooopppppps.
Day TWO, we saw a group of La Corda cosplayers, who were the HaruToki 3 the day before. A really pretty lady in Saiunkoko as Shuurei. She's very pretty! XD
There was this chess battle which had everyone in stitches because they were acting what the character's would most probably do. hahaha XD
I saw a huge group of GSD characters. My heart. It leaped. =P
There was Athrun in Orb uniform, in GS special edition, in Zaft (i think) and in civilian clothes. *O* And 2 pretty Cagallis.
-moves to bug Ann to photograph them for me-
My bro brought along Derrick for day 2after I rant and rant about everything in day 1 which he missed, he rather play Dota -.- ohohoho~
It was worth my 2 days. I had a fantastic time. I can't believe I've been missing on this. But then again camp was fun too. XD
Next was..Penang on the 21st.
Our original plan was to go Singapore, since I haven't been there since I was a tiny kiddo. My parents and bro went when I was around Std 4, when I was in US with MaMa and YehYeh. (and had chickenpox the same time too ....woeeeee)
But with some problems cropping up, dad didn't renew our passports, so we decided to go Penang. Somewhere was better than nowhere. GuMa's apartment as usual. We went with GuMa and YiSum, Benjy and Emily.
Gosh, the food was delicious. A lot of hawker stalls, but well, food is food. =P And swimming.
Meet up with Ching one day. XD We were origanlly suppose to go kai kai but her friend with the car was busy, so dad said, why not ask her to join us to Butterfly Farm? And she did. XD Sorry for making you err....wait, while we took a swim.
And remind me to be extra wary of my cousins. They are 10 and 8. I can clearly recall my memories of when I was that age. But I was not that noisy.....were we?
When I was 10, my little clique was my bro, and my cousin. 2 and 4 years younger respectively. During the holidays, we spend out days together at my gramma's. Playing masak masak, random games, computer, tv, learning swimming, or art. XD
As the eldest, I lorded over them. Ohoho~ And I suspect this made me an extra protective person at times. I'm also the eldest in the family, my bro being the younger one. So yea, that protective streak. It grew. =.=;;
I kept us in line. XD With parents who contanstly reminded us, (with the cane sometimes) to be extra polite, not demand for toys and what-nots when we're at gramma's, I can say that we were pretty good kiddos. Most of the time. =P
What? We were. Wut
Except we would bug YehYeh to drop us at 7/11 to grab a slurpie after our morning swimming lessons.
So I guess, we were good after all. Or they would have gotten a headache taking care of us. XD
But my cousins. nice and sweet as they were. Are sometime, still kids. As I was once too. Refusing to eat anything.......or demanding toys.......or constant bugging.
By the end of it, my family and I were tired out. hahaha XD
But it was fun. Definitely. I got to bond with them, which I never really did, since they did not grew up at gramma's like we did.
We returned on Christmas eve. To avoid the jam.
In the end, I suppose it was like a cloud with a silver lining, because there was massive flooding in Johor and subsequently affecting the highways and railroads to Singapore.
Moving on my list of updates is Xmas 2006. We had an Xmas potluck in Nick's house. It was pretty fun. The food was delicious too! Kleong got a cake to Celebrate Dan's b'dae. XD haha.
Let's see, after Xmas, nothing much was on. So I signed up for New Year eve's duty. For St John. XD I never went for any countdown duty, whether it was Merdeka or New Year. So I wanted to try it. Ching was suppose to go along, but on that day itself, Ade smsed that due to lack of space, there was only one seat left, so it was either her or me. Ching told me to go ahead since she had been before and kinda just wanted to chill out to celebrate. She went to Sunway with Eleena.
And gosh, it was noisy and crazy, Bustling with people and spray cans. -.-
We arrived late, so ince we had our dinner, we got stationed at the VIp seating. Which I then found out through a little chatting with CH that it's one of the safest spots, actually, since we don't get crammed with others.
There was some really cool dance teams to oogle at. XD Later in the middle, we got restatationed at the base which was sadly behind the stage. And missed the awesome special artist performances. Darn! Not that I know any of them anyway. I wasn't updated on the Chinese artists, and 98.9 radio stationg for that matter. Hence, being extremely lost and bewildered at the radio djs and other guest performers. Heck, I got to oogle at some random artists prepping back stage, and had no clue who they were. -.- Go me. I know. =P
The people by the fence were screaming their names by the back stage and all I did was stare at some people I dunno and wonder who they were, while it was apparently everyone else knows them. Even the SK ppl were starring at them back stage. LoL
There you go, a banana chinese. haiiiiiiiiii
Once I got to station at the base, only did I know how crazy those other people were. I suppose being in front of the stage, many were busy starring at the performers while those at the back clearly can't see a thing and isn't bothered to. So they started randomly spraying those cans of confetti, snowflaky stuffs and blowing hons. At invervals of every few minutes or so. O.o
Let me tell you, those cans reeks of some chemical smell. And those snowflaky things are somewhat soapy, according to a fellow friend. Thank goodness we were inside, safe from the mayhem. Anyone randomly crossing the blocked roads would get sprayed. yups. And it kepts repeating from like 9-ish all the way to 12am. I noticed near the fence we were stationed was some couples. The taller guys would stand behind their short girlfriends so that they would face us and hopefully away from those sprayers. So sweet nya? XD Not one, but like 3-4 of them, I saw.
Since KLCC had no countdown, it was estimated that more ppl would turn up at Sg Wang, so much so that there was a lot of Rela members and (according to dad, possibly) Federal Territory Armed Corps...something liddat. But it's the Police force, no doubt. Red caps and dark blue uniform. Different from the Rela yellow caps and green uniform. For crowd control purposes.
Nothing happened until it was officially New Years. The fireworks were spectacular and worth the watch. *O* Upclose too! My first ever closest. Yea, and more sprays. *coughcoughs*
That's when things started. Those extra loads of sprays bought along horrid smells. That and the large crowd was enough to make a couple of girls faint due to the lack of air. yups.
No big cases, but there was this one guy who got transported to the hospital because he complained of a numbness/cramp all over his body. O.o
The police had their job as well. Making sure the crowd disperse and stopping anyone else from spraying anymore. Thank goodness. That's when I can see. A clear view of the road. And the trails of rubbish it holds. -.- People, they do not know how to pick up after themselves. I pity those street cleaners.
I reached home close to 2.30am. And fell straight into the bed.
XD
As the eldest, I lorded over them. Ohoho~ And I suspect this made me an extra protective person at times. I'm also the eldest in the family, my bro being the younger one. So yea, that protective streak. It grew. =.=;;
XD haha.
