Tears

Life is so unexpected.

I can only imagine how it feels like to watch someone so dear decline from a healthy person with a healthy lifestyle.

As I walked through those doors today, and see what I saw today, my eyes swelled up.

I felt like crying right there and then.

I can understand what mum said, when she told me, 'everytime we visit him, it becomes emotionally draining for us'.

He was such a loving husband, doting father, and joyful friend. Life is so unfair for this to happen to a person who does not smoke nor drink.

To be reduced to being bedridden in the course of a few weeks, to lose so much weight, cannot be a good sign.

Please dear God, give him the strength and will to fight on for both himself and his family. And for his family to stay strong by his side.

sick and work do not mix

The sheep is back. >D

Alas, there isn't much to report.

Serena's been stuck close to 2 and a half weeks at work, trying to compile her report, which has parts A and B and needs to be combined to produce C.

Serene realises it's a rather tough task seeing how her superior gave her an impossible dateline and seeing how she knows she lacks a lot of knowledge needed for it. Nevertheless, when her senior proposes that she takes it the task to try it out, she agreed to.

Which lead to a week of OTs up to 9pm and another 2 days of 10pm, and you have a half dead zombie lurking around. Serena isn't quite up to working late all the time, she doesn't mind the occasionally extra hours when she has to meet her dateline though.

When she finally thinks she has completed what she could, she told her superior that it's about 75% done and she has wasted enough time to figure out the other 25% and is still stuck. haha XD

Nevertheless, her superior is really nice and told her she'd look through it. And promptly send Serena off for a field audit with her colleagues. (outdoors where you get to go the client's place) Which is great, because Serena has had enough being stuck in the office.

Come Friday, (ie. yesterday), Serena woke up with a horrid flu and cough which continued for the whole day. orz.

Serena dragged herself to work because she detests having to return on the weekends, and would rather suffer during the weekdays.

Which also lead to her being quite out of it for the whole day. Using tissues after tissues, doses of vitamin Cs, and sips of lemon tea.

Not once but twice she was sieving for information in the wrong files.

Colleague A: Bring over company A's file and look in it.
Serena: *goes off to look* Here~ but I can't find the figure you told me to look for. D:
Colleague A: That's company B.

ORZ

Serena: *mumbles I can't find that figure hereeeeeeeee* Are you sure you saw it here?
Colleague B: Yeps, pass it over, I'll find it for you.
Serena: *duly passes it*
Colleague B: *flips a while* It's the wrong company. No wonder I thought the figures were a bit odd.
Serena: huh? *facepalms*

That's it, Serena's had enough and wants to go home and sleep it offffffffff.

Poor mistress, Bratty will be nice today. *pats* You should stop sleeping late at night, you know that.

Ostukaresama to KAT-TUN for successfully completing Break The Records 2009 record-breaking 8 consecutive days at Tokyo Domeeeeeeeeee~!

For an amazing concert with plenty of water shows, fire, videos, and performances!! *coughpropsareveryimportantcough*

For a concert with different setlist everyday, with daily doses of forgotten lyrics, hugs going around, general teasing and dorky boys having fun. Really, KAT-TUN gets away with uncoordinated dances and forgotten lyrics. haha XD

Omedetouuuu to Yucchi for making that bungee at the intended 20 metres height, you did it! Now, they better stop bugging you >.> And, you've gotten yourself into a fix by using your wild card in getting Tat-chan to jump the day before. orz

And, asl;dkfj;ldsgbn. Now you're having KAT-TUN SUMMER’09 Break the Records Tour from July 22 to August 23? D: Seriously, give them a break. orz. Or you know, be a bit more lenient to the fangirls. They haven't even finished their planned concerts, the 3 days in Kyocera Dome in Osaka and last 2 days in Tokyo Dome.

According to what they announced at the performance, they’ll be visiting 6 towns in 17 performances in a nation-wide tour since July 22nd to August 23rd.

(who wants to bet, there will be additional shows added at a later date? =P)

Parking part 2

Serena has run out of things to say, so it's back to me, dear ol' Bratty.

A week back, Serena has a dinner meetup with a few friends. After what was a longggggggg dinner with a lot of random discussions, they call it nights.

Serena volunteered to drive some of them who lived nearby and well, she gets company to walk her back to the car.

It wouldn't be Serena to actually remember the parking spot, so what she did was to snap a photo of the location.

As they neared the parking levels, Serena starts to frantically look for the photo on her phone. It was rather puzzling to her that the photo she took showed a level that didn't quite match the ones she was on. It said P2, when there was clearly no P in sight. Plus, Serena was quite sure, even though she was a scatterbrain, she definitely did not park at a P level.

She starts to slightly panic, because she took the photo thinking that she did not have to remember the location and now that it doesn't match, where on earth is her trusty little kancil at?

After 5 to 10 minutes of worrying, she cackles with laughter. her 2 friends just stared at her.

Have she gone madddddddd? Is it safe to hitch a ride home with that crazee person?

No, Serena hasn't gone mad, just very very idiotic.

She had been starring at a photo of yesterday's parking, when she did indeed parked at P2 when she ventured outside the office for an audit. The photo she took today was a couple of clicks away.

Mostly for myself to keep track of my gazillion fandoms. (okay, not gazillion, but we're reaching there, aren't we, Aya-cchi? =P)

Yucchi finally did the bungee jump on Day three. Lower than intended, but *ish so so proud of him* He was really jittery about it from the fanreports. And day four. Gosh, now they'll expect him to really bungee everyday. Evil staff-san. I loved how the other members know he's really not up to it and tried to get the crowd to cheer him even when he didn't managed it. Koki and Kami are <3.

Because fancams are delicious titbits.


Some of their choices means that the fans get to hear a) the older songs or b) live b-sides of their singles. yays!

And gosh, their MC is bordering on PG rated at times. orz.


Also, Shige and SEMINAR butai. *O* OMGOSH. You are so gonna get teased by the other members. Still, so hawt.

At the beginning of the 2nd format, the boys gets a question, 'What is love?'

Subsequently, the boys got shoved into an underground hideout with a creepy weird janitor and gets to get meet all sorts of mostly weird, some interesting celebrities and occasionally venture out to ask real people about love.

At the end of this format, they then have to answer the question which they were asked.

Parking matters

I wasn't kidding when I said that *points below*, Serena provides me with fodder to blog upon.

Serena had finally got her hands on the season parking ticket at her workplace 2 months ago. Parking for Serena is rather expensive on her fresh graduate salary.

*coughlowsalarycough*

But, considering factors such as safety when she works overtime at nights and hefty parking fines by the municipal councils when she parks at the residential area nearby, Serena supposes that it is reasonable.

However, some of her colleagues choose not to take up on the season pass. As such, occasionally when they go out during working hours or for lunch, they would borrow Serena's or her other colleague's ticket because having to pay for tickets twice a day is more expensive than paying for it once a day.

Serena doesn't mind, she gets to tag along for lunch without having to drive. XD

So on Tuesday, when colleague A asked for it, she passed him what-she-taught-was-her-season-pass.

Until, she went out for lunch with colleague B and found colleague A stranded near the exit.

'You passed me the normal parking ticket?'
'Huh?'

Meeting Flabby the Ferret

Bratty here!

I finally got to meet Flabby the Ferret because his mistress, Aya-cchi and mine decided to go shopping *coughfangirlingcough*.

Flabby-chan wrote his version of the outing which will be far more complete than mine, so do check out his May 10th 2009 post!

It all started when Aya-cchi, smses Serena mid afternoon when the sun was very very hot and asked if she would like to tag along for a very short trip downtown with her sister to pick up a very important Kanjani8 calendar.

Serena was bored and decided to tag along~

Aya-cchi only gave Serena 10 minutes notice to change!!!

What is this? 10 minutes? She was still sitting in front of the computer and ogling at random things.

It takes time to shower and dig through her cupboard for clothes.

Eventually, Serena manages to look decent enough within the time limit for an outing minus the big t-shirt and shorts which is her normal home attire.

At the bookstore, Aya-cchi manages to find what she was looking for and it wasn't sold out yet. Lucky~

Serena, however was unlucky or lucky (depending on how you look at it, ie. monies) that the KAT-TUN Calendar was sold out.

However, that didn't stop the two of them from moving on to the Idol magazines section for more eye candies. Unfortunately all of them were wrapped.

So Aya-cchi and Serena decided to take a couple to the counter and ask for them to be unwrapped for browsing before they decide to buy it.

Staff: Please browse at the counter only.

Any fellow fangirl would know that fangirling is a rather loud and serious business but Bratty doesn't think staff know that yet.

So, Aya-cchi and Serena got down to some very serious fangirling business.

Why haven't you noticed that the staff was getting annoyed?

But, both Aya-cchi and Serena continued their fangirling because they had totally planned to buy the magazines anyway and was not merely browsing.

Look, he's giving them the stares. Being invisible mean Bratty don't get randomly stared at.

When all was done, Flabby-chan and I followed the trio to look for snacks before heading home.

It was a very nice outing and Bratty enjoyed meeting with Flabby-chan and his mistress.

Something went wrong with the snacks they bought, but that's Flabby-chan's story to tell, look for the 12th May 2009 post.

Train stops

Bratty tagged along with Serena to a client's place for the day with a colleague of hers.

It was somewhere in the heart of KL.

They took the LRT to avoid the oh-so-awesome-kl-traffic-jam.

It was a nice office and they even had a slice of cake, courtesy of an employee's birthday which fell on that day.

That was really nice of them!

But this post is not about the cake, Bratty just wants to say that she had cake off Serena's plate.

Har har!

On the way back, Serena and her colleague hopped on the LRT again. It was packed!

Of course it is, it's not called rush hour for nothing.

Serena gets in and hangs on for dear life as the crowds start dribbling onto the train.

When it reaches her stop, she got off, and turned back to look for her colleague.

Where is he? Caught somewhere in the middle? She stares.

He stares back and mouths, why are you getting off?

Eh.

Eh.

Eh.

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

It clicks.

Serena had gotten off at the wrong stop. Serena rushes back in before the door closes again.

Giri giri.

Just made it in time, yo.

Why are you so clumsy? Sesated? Half asleep?

Just because you usually get off at Sentral to take the KTM back to Subang, doesn't mean you have to get off at Sentral now, because you're on the LRT, girl!

Thursday.

The exam was over, there was a few more days to enjoy before Serena has to get back to the hectic working life.

Everything was going well.

Until she received an sms from a colleague asking if she's heard that two of her seniors has resigned and that it was their last day, that Thursday.

She felt terribly left out. No one was smsed Serena nor mentioned anything.

It was 12am, he then asks if she would to join them clubbing as the group of them was there as well.

Serena knows perfectly well, her parents would mind. A lot, in fact.

So she kindly told him, no, and thank you for informing her.

Because no one else had.

While she managed to sms and phone her farewell, she couldn't help but feel rather left out.

It's the feeling that even though you were with them for months, you are never really part of them.

Is it the language barrier? Or the different wavelengths? Or probably just her?

Being weak is natural, the truth is anyone would be scared;

Colors

Backdated days before her impending doom.

Bratty would like to point out that Serena totally wasted her study leave aka what-she-calls-her-hols.

Serena has a habit of highlighting her notes with highlighters of various colors because a) it keeps her awake and b) makes it more interesting to glance at. She particularly loves using two primary colors to give her different shades, yes, she does know that you can get colors of any kind at the stationery shops but it's just fun to do so.

You know, yellow and red (or pink) gives you orange, yellow and blue equals green.

As the colors gradually fill up the pages, Serena runs into a major problem!

Some of the colors were finishing!!

As Serena's brother was out at the moment, she smses him to buy some back for her because she was too lazy to leave the nice cooling shade of the house.

She smses. 'Please buy xxx highlighters for me since you're out. '

He replies. 'No money'

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH???

What is this?

You don't bring money out when you go out with friends?!

What if there's an emergency? Or something happens?

Serena sighs and settles to go and get it herself later.

Luckily, Serena's dad has to get something from the stationery shop, and got it for her in the end.

Break the Records ~ by you & for you ~ ....and other things

KAT-TUN's Break the Records ~ by you & for you ~
(4th album)

The album is made of AWESOME. How is it that they included such dark emo rebirth/reborn lyrics on half the songs and the other half is all sunshine and flowers and happy? XDD

I just love the dark emo-ish songs because the lyrics and translation shows the poetical meaning behind the songs. It holds a theme on its on. Cue dark passionate forbidden love. Something to that extent.

Moon has a chorus on the symbolical butterfly rebirth after death. The electronic trance-like preview of Water Dance had the whole fandom itching to hear the whole song. Full version to be found here.

The solos were all very nice. We finally got the album version of Jin's self composed Care. Tat-chan skipped the ballad or rock, which is his usual solo style, and went with another of his self composed, Hana no Mau Machi (The City where Flowers dance). Didn't quite get why Yucchi had a Christmassy song, White World, when it is clearly off-the-season. But his voice is solid and deep as usual.



NEWS - Koi no ABO

THIS. AHAHAHAHA XD When the PV was released, it was so full of crack that Ann and I were eagerly awaiting to see how much crack were they going to include in their live performances. We were NOT disappointed AT ALL. They should totally do the whole hyper, cracky songs more. XDD The hair, the glasses, the outfits, the dance!!! *rofl~* They're singing about blood types! lolol~!

If you need a dose of laughter for the day, I recommend clicking here (Oh look it's even subbed >D)Well, it might scare you a bit at first, but it totally made my day.

Also, let's not forget the videos that came with the DVD. One question, does this mean that we're not getting any concert dvds for the NEWS Winter Party Diamond concert tour 2008/2009??? Because this dvd already has 5 songs plus the MC from the concert. DDD: nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.



Kanjani8's Puzzle (3rd album)

This time, they've change their stance on the having the hypercrack and changed over to having the mellow ballad, Puzzle as their main promotion song. Then again, I enjoyed Rolling Coaster (so addictive XD) and Giga Mega Maji Fight for the happy-bouncy-smiley feel. XD Not going into the solos, because I haven't finished hearing all of them, since *coughbiasbiasbiascough*



Oh, Tegomass is going to Sweden??? uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Ching actually gets to be nearer to them than I'll ever be. *gets bricked* For info, the duo originates from NEWS. *points above* Sort of a branch off the main group. And usually gets to sing uber-sweet-you-can-get-toothache-lyrics like Ai Ai Gasa or Kiss ~ Kaerimichi Love Song. Cavities yet? XD

Coffeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Today, the Bratty the sheep shall blog. It has been decided that whenever the situation permits, Bratty would blog on behalf of Serena. This brilliant collaboration was bought to you thanks to a)the insomniac night Serena had yesterday and b)Shige's Wagahai jweb series.

He writes his blog from the point of view of a fictional cat named "Wagahai." This is a parody he did based off of Natsume Soseki's "I am a cat." which is his favorite book. -- taken from here

Late last night, Serena made very last minute plans to hang out with her friend and generally planned on including lots of fangirl kyaa--ing and squee--ing along.

As all the planning for tomorrow was done and agreed upon, they both had called it nights.

Serena crawled off to bed, hoping to get a good night's rest for tomorrow.

What she didn't counted upon was not falling asleep after lying on bed for quite some time. By then, even her brother had finished his game downstairs and gone off to bed.

The whole house was in darkness, the night was quiet.

Serena ponders, why was it she is not able to fall asleep? Jumbled thoughts and pieces of wandering mind?

Then it struck her. She took coffee in the afternoon!! That has got to be the reason!!

Because Serena had similar issues with coffee keeping her awake all night back when she was in college. By now, Serena thought that she was okay with drinking coffee because she had been taking coffee at her workplace and was still able to fall asleep at night.

And while she goes on to think over the issue, the clock keeps on ticking and ticking.

Finally, she hops out of bed to check the clock. It was 5am!!

Time really passes even when you're not doing anything.

I finally got around to watching Cartoon KAT-TUN epi 103. Yucchi has to bungee jump for 8 consecutive days for their 8 day concert? (well, it was originally 7 days but that was before they added the extra days) wth. orzorzorz. The things he gets pushed into doing. *pats*

We get to know more about Shige phail thanks to Wagahai. XDD And, his new butai character is sex obssessed? *dies laffing* Also, I happened to stumbled upon a KoyaShige pimp post. <3 Quite an old one, but SOCUTE.

The Eito unit PVs and making ofs are pretty awesome. The epic idea of using scissors-paper-stone to decide the pairings. Boys be boys. Yasu and Yoko's Kicyu, has really cute animated characters. I totally didn't know that Ohkura, Ryo and Subaru's Glorious was all english. I'm impressed because it sounded good although I'll still require the official lyrics to know the words. XD Maru and Hina's You Can See had the cool side. Hehe.

Feeling a bit out of the loop and many other things at the moment. For one, working up to 8pm-ish for 5 nights trying to finish up my workload to take my study break. two, having to actually start studying for the exams. And three, lack of company.

I did join some of my colleagues to catch a very late night show. My latest ever. haha XD at 1am. orz. Got my brother to accompany me. I must be in the older and more boring side of most working adult lives, since it seem as though the night movie atmosphere was amazingly filled with people. orz.

I think my english is getting rusting on the edges. I speak cantonese three thirds of the day, throw in a smattering rojak of malay, english and mandarin. Having so many japanese dramas to watch on my agenda isn't much of a help either.

The whole politics is getting horridly complicated and hard to follow, so I sorta don't anymore. Is it even getting anywhere?

Shige gets a play entitled, SEMINAR ? XD So aptly him. Yasu's shop photos looks *O*. Tat-chan's Romeo and Juliet costumes are really cute too! Where are NEWS? They're been like missing on the scenes, other than the preview on Koi no ABO.

Congratulations to Hiro and Ayaka on their engagement. To get married so that one is able to take care of the other is really endearing. I hope her illness isn't too serious.

THE OBLIGATORY I'M STILL ALIVE POST.

I'll try to get into the hang of blogging again, I hope. It's a bit hard to do so when one's live is oh-so-boring. Dang.

Don't have your hopes up, my manager at work just so kindly warned us that during March and April, it is apparently compulsory to work OT and Saturdays. Oh shoot.

What else is up?

Been working for about 5 months now. Time flies. My colleagues are very nice, though I wish they spoke more English. So we communicate in a smattering jumble of cantonese, mandarin and english. Typical rojak.

I learnt that we should not take education for granted. Some of my colleagues start working with just a simple diploma after a year of studies. Appreciate it!

Life is fragile. Very much so. An uncle of mine, had moved on, after battling with liver problems for over 16 years. I couldn't find any words of comfort for my cousins when they stumbled out of the ER that night.
