My 21st !

Birthdays mark each year of your life, every milestone you reach.

Usually, it isn't much of a big deal, just a simple family dinner and some extra pocket money.

But somehow this year, it would seem that reaching my 21st year of living is. D: For the part of my family that is.

It somewhat became quite a big thing for me this year. There's a lot of other reasons that it to happen, which I might choose to indulge in later on. XD

Personally, I'm kinda overwhelmed myself. Like seriously. And, it makes one feel so very thankful for having such a great family, not only my immediate family, but mostly my paternal side actually. I love them so much!

Dad booked 2 tables at some fancy chinese restaurant, and I had a huge jelly cake....and as with most chinese families...more pocket money. =3 I'll probably spend some and save the rest. nyah! Oh, and I did get 2 really nice bracelets from my bro and cousin. My lil' bro who went off with his 2 buddies to get me something nice, that was really sweet of him, seeing how he usually don't remember birthdays. XD

My parents did ask me what I wanted, but errr.....they've already spend so much on the dinner and probably more later on. After all, they're going to give me a wonderful present.

Ah.....it's so hard to continue on, when not everything is explained properly.

So here goes....if everything goes accordingly and I pass my semester properly, my parents are going to take on the additional expenses to send me off to Melbourne, to my aunt's, where I will finish my 2 final subjects.

Needless to say, I'm really excited. It's only 6 months, but who cares?

It is precisely because it's only 2 last subjects and only 6 months that my parents are considering it, since it'll be a much lighter load of expense. Almost half of what a full semester would cost.

When my semester started, I met a friend who told me of her plans to finished her final sem over there, I was sceptical about it since it's usually a minimum of 1 year. But when I enquired with my program secretary, and she asked the international office, they replied that it was possible.

So you see, that's a huge birthday present in itself, particularly because my parents are stretching their budget for me. Even my dad hasn't been over to Melbourne, mum did a few years back with my aunts. And my aunt and uncle pitched in, their present to me was a return flight ticket. (The dinner was to partly thank them) I'll stay over at another aunt's, who's holds a PR over there.

It truly is spectacular 21st Birthday for me this year!

Now, I've got to keep my fingers crossed so that everything goes smoothly.

And before you dears go off wondering how come you don't know, it's because I told NO ONE. Figured only those close to me knows about my little blog, so yea. After all, things aren't 100% confirmed yet, it's only been agreed upon recently. Wish me luck that things will proceed as it should go.

It may not be such a big deal, but to me it is. XD

Thank you millions for the lovely birthday wishes you've sent over!! =3 It certainly made my day, particularly because the dinner was held last weekend for everyone to be able to make it, so there was mostly nothing planned for today. But I'm certainly not going to complain about it.

Did some slight shopping in Pyramid. OMG, the new wing is teh huge, I must have look idiotic trying to maneuver and kept going in circles by myself. No class for today mar, which is again, a present in itself. I get Thursdays off. XD

Why is it, I don't feel the least bit matured at 21....? ORZ
