heh
My second car accident. Right. Happened a day after my birthday O__O
Dad asked me to drive him over to Taipan while he got some errands done using his car. So I did. The jam was horrible as usual, we got stuck crawling through the roads.
His first stop was the bank near shakeys, where he didn't get anything done because he forgot to fill in some details on the back. And even after digging for a pen all over the car, wrote the wrong info on the wrong cheque. So yea..another day to bank those in.
Stop number 2, the petshop to get dog food. It was after the stop that we got stuck. Somehow I think something was blocking the road in front because all the cars were practically stucked. With cars still turning in from junctions, everyone was jammed in the middle, with no other way to move out of the jam.
Bog Bookshop was stop number 3, just down the road from the petshop. Dad didn't get anything because he forgot to bring along the Bog Bookshop card. >.> Right. So you see, the ONLY thing we got done was the dog food.
As I was going home, he remembered that he forgot to photostate my student card for the Reader's Digest's subscription. Hah, but he thought better of it because the jam was really bad.
Things were okay okay, or so I thought. Finally home, yups? Nah.
While dad opened the gates, and I was waiting to drive the car in. BAM! I jerked over to the right, hitting my arm on the door.
EEPS? Some car just crashed over right into me. The car, I meant. The impact was pretty huge for me, since I was in the car.
Dad asked me, "Did you reverse?" "Err...no"
Mum appeared, and the first thing she asked, "Was it you?". "heeeyy...what makes you think it was me? Accidents doesn't have to be all my fault."
The damage on dad's car, was a broken backlight and the boot was slight dented. I have no idea what about the other guy, since it was dark. Around 9-ish.
So yea....yada yada the sorting of the payment and mechanics thing. The felle worked in Bukit Jelutong and stays around USJ 20, he suggested dad go to his regular mechanic, but I think dad prefers his old buddy in Taman Tun.
Anyway, he gave his mechanic a call to roughly estimate the damages, around RM250. Dad would fix his car on Saturday and either pass the bill to him or he could pay the mechanic directly. The Malay guy admited he didn't notice the car at all, so he's willing to pay for everything.
As everything was settled and we got back into the house. Dad commented, "You know, it's partly your fault, I told you to leave the signal light on. It's for those people who happened to be dreaming while driving. But I didn't say anything since he's paying for the damages."
Right. You're the one who told me repeatedly to off the main lights because it was glaring or something, and now I was suppose to leave the signal lights on? But I was this close to driving the car in. Fine, so maybe it was somewhat related to me >.> But I don't see you asking how was I, my arm kinda hurt from the impact. >.<>.>
I noted that he has yet to scold me for any accidents. Even the first one, but that was partly the kancil's fault. I already told dad, it has problems. So when the car engines konks out while I was turning into the junction, I can't do anything. Except that I should have not panicked and tried to turn quickly before the car engine died out without first accessing the cars on the roads. =P
That was my fault, and we had to pay for the other guy's car. This time, it was mostly, not my fault. But in both cases, the damages aren't that major. Thank goodness, I don't think we would be able to afford to pay for major things.
