I thought I might share a review of my favourite mangas. Yes, you're subjected to reading my boring life, but feel free to click to another page. >w<
Remember I mentioned women heroines? Well, I'm into shoujo mangas, so obviously all the main characters are women/young ladies/girls. But there a few awesome reads, which I love to reread at times, like a good book. One which you don't mind reading again and again because you love it.
Among my favourite genres are stories with a twist, something other than your usual girl meets boy, boy teases girl, girl falls in love with boy. Bleaaa....too ordinary, and there's already lots of the same storyline. Historical shoujo is great too, something which incorporates folklores, old wives tales, and history. Humor is another thing I look forward to, it ensures that the story's seriousness gets a dose of laughter every once in a while. Mostly, the stories center around romance and sometimes family oriented.
Keep in mind, the art has to be satisfactory, because it's almost always the first thing which captures my interest to read it. And because I love the story or art, I will go around looking for other series which author/authoress may have done.
I have amassed quite a number of mangas, all hogged up on the computer. Scanlations by voluntarily by groups of scanlators. Or merely scanned series, licensed in the US, but far to pricey to be bought over here. I'm a broke college student, so? But I do buy the comics, even to the extent of the mandarin version, yes, I know, I have no clue whatsoever of speaking nor reading in mandarin. But the art.....compels me to buy. XD Plus the occasional butchered Malay version, is still better than nothing, right?
It's my bloggie, so I get to campak whatever I want onto it. =P And if i can get you interested into reading whatever I just reviewed, it'll be double the fun!
