Summer course

I have lagged in a couple of posts >.> Which I may or may not get around to doing.

My ummer course just got started off on Monday and which has a lecturer who's known for being strict and demands the best O__o

Depends on how you look at it, the horror of facing him =P for a whole semester or 4 weeks of a really tight schedule. Yups. haha XD But really, he's very good, has notes are complied neatly, and he tries to relates everything he teaches to the real world, so we catch a glimpse of the man eat man business world. >.<

All in all, it would have been okay, if not for the fact that we got a certain fella in our group. 'That one fella'. Who is popular among the RMIT students for all the wrong reasons. >_< And has the most annoying way of saying my name with an 's'. Perhaps's he's a bit slow, but you have to give credit that he tries his best in his studies, but he's still a bit weird.

Most of us would usually avoid him. Yup, unless he asks a question or so, then it's okay to answer him, but otherwise, none of us would. Why are we being mean?

Probably it's the fact that he likes interrupting the lecturers and asking the weirdest and totally unrelated questions? Or way he talks in both English and Mandarin is kinda funny? (according to my mandarin speaking friends, his mandarin also sounds weird...)Or weird rumors about him (like the time he flashed at a female housemate of his after his shower? Or tried selling knives to a friend of mine? Or stalked 3 girls all the way to the ladies washroom? Or kept following my friend to the computer labs)

So yea, there's more, but I'll spare you the rest. So yea, I avoid him myself, and unless you give a very obvous hint, he would bug you. So I did. Dear, I don't want to get stalked around the college. And since I share 3 classes out of 4 last semester, i don't want to get bugged by unnecessary calls as well. And I'm still baffled by this one time where he called me, I do not recall giving him my number out. At all.

Twice,

He: Ah, Siew Lings ar, can you give me your number?
Me: No

While most of the lecturers try to accommodate his weird questions, some are annoyed at getting interrupted midway constantly, so he kinda kena a lot of, "Wait first, let me finish this". Oh, and don't get me started on repeatative questions.

For example, the lecturer says we have to pass up our work by Monday, he goes, "So ar that mean ar, we have to pass it by Monday is it?". Well duh, she just said it 5 seconds ago >_>

Another friend who got stuck for a group presentation last semester tells of the story where he gets 8 smses a day, and random calls about the fella talking about himself. -__- Darren says, "Heck, he sends me more messages than my girlfriend".

Oh well, our group will have to (as we quote it) rescue him or risk failing the subject as a group.

The course consists of an exam on writing business letters, an individual presentation, a group assignment and a mock interview. So yeah, we're learning about things like letter writing, resume and cover letter. That's called Work Integrated Learning and Work Experience Industry, shortened as Wil and Wei.

My group decided to pick a topic out of the list of popular previous topics which was listed up, racial polarization, hence the Impact of Racial Polarization in Malaysia. Then, we realised that although we had abundance internet sites to refer to, we would need reference books and journals, or risk losing a lot of marks. So we enquired regarding parasiting to Inti Library, our program coordinator told us it can be arranged, since it was done before for students of other subjects. Yups, library raid next week. And it's due on Friday next week. We're DOOMED.

On a side note, on Friday, while I was browsing through sites, I dropped by the FruityGroup on yahoogroups, only to find out that Fruits Basket has FINALLY ended.

Oh gosh, I loved that series so so much =3 It's the only series which I ever bothered to buy the whole set of 2o books (plus another 1 or 2 not out yet) in mandarin. Yea, I'm nutty. haha XD My other mandarin collection is usually randomly bought for the sake of the ending. =P

I've been bracing myself for the ending ever since the curse ended and everything shows that Takaya sensei is wrapping up the loose ends, but to know that it's finally over, a wave of sadness and nostalgic feeling washes over me.

Because not only did that series gave me my nickname, it was also among the first manga series which I discovered, and subsequently taught me about the world of imagination of manga and anime. Thanks, Reiki for intro-ing it to me. ^O^

(Don't ask me who my favourite is, because I fell in love with all the characters overtime. Sure it started with Yuki-kun but but BUT then I started falling for the rest)
