Wedding & Raya?

Back tracking again >.> keke

Moving back to Sunday. Earlier that week, Mum already mentioned about Guthrie's open house. Both my mum and dad works for the same company, it's been years, like 20 or more years. But anyway, Mum got transfered to a branch, Property Development while dad is still stuck at the head office.

Every Raya, the company would have open house for its staffs. My family would usually avoid going due to the jam and err.....laziness to battle for our food. =P But it's held at Mum's office, since there's more space to conduct the function, so generally, one would get forced to appear and 'support' the function. haha XD Hence why we've been going for the Raya open house for the last 2 years.

Mum: Guthrie's oepn house is this Saturday? Wanna tag along?
Me: Hmm.....welll since I'm on hols, I wouldn't mind, I guess
Bro: uhmm......nolar
Mum: Ah, and there's my boss's open house on Sunday and a wedding of my ex colleague's son on Sunday too.
Me: Ehhhh? So many things on.....>.> Can't we skip one?
Mum: My boss kinda 'caught' me without an excuse.
Dad and me : hahaha XD
Dad: And we've already skipped one wedding, the last time her daughter got married she gave the invite late, so it's only right to turn up for this one.
Me: What about the company function? We've been going for 2 years anyway.

Yea...it went something like the above conversation. <.<>.> LoL. Glad to know I'm not the only scatterbrain around.

My brother skipped the whole thing because he felt lazy to join along. And instead used the time to play Dota >.>

By the time we reached home at 3.30pm, we were sweating. It was a hot day. And rushing from one place to another didn't help one bit.

But my dad decided to go out again. To visit come of the ex colleagues whom they met at the wedding, a few of them are regular mahjong kakis and was going to adjourned to a house to play. So I suppose both mum and dad had fun catching up and chatting, because they only came back in time for dinner.

It's only at special occasions like these where you get to meet the people you don't usually keep in touch with. The same with outings with my friends. I don't see them at other times, only when we have gatherings of the sort.

Oh, and Chris asked me to join them for a night's trip to Genting. My college mates. I don't get along very well, I suppose since I converse more in English, but they're very nice people. I suppose it's a good thing I took Organisational Behaviour this sem, because it allowed me to speak up more and consequently know more people during that class. That was one of the nicest classes I had. Because it promotes interaction. In English. XD

Don't worry bs, technology let us keep in touch wif 1 another. So so long we still remember our friends, surely we will still be friends and meet again \(^o^)/

Hopefully we will, but it takes effort from both sides to keep the friendship alive XD
